Normet Group, the Finnish manufacturer of mobile underground equipment, will utilize Minexpo to demonstrate its expertise in concrete spraying machinery and other types of its product offering for various kinds of underground tasks. Normet also takes advantage at the show by informing mining industry customers about the major international restructuring of the company that started late last year.
Normet’s showcase at Minexpo is the Spraymec 6050 W concrete sprayer that is the result of the company’s decades-long accumulated experience. The experience results in that today Normet is one of the leaders in the manufacture of underground mobile vehicles. In addition to spraying, the product offering covers such operations as concrete transport, charging, man lifting, underground installation works, scaling, and material and personnel transportation.
The Spraymec 6050 W is an all-diesel-hydraulic version of the 6050 series and is designed for underground mines and tunnels with small cross sections. The lateral coverage is 8 m (27 feet) and the vertical reach 9.3 m (31 feet). Other technical features of the machine include an SB 500 spraying boom, a high pressure washing kit, and a form oil sprayer.
Particularly important is the Nordoser 900 H accelerator dosing system that is designed to monitor and maintain the accelerator flow in proportion to actual concrete delivery. The dosage rates can be pre-programmed according to the mix design. Other features include two-colour display and control modules. The display module is located in the canopy and the control module at the rear of the machine together with concrete pump controls. The Spraymec 6050 W along with other models of the Spraymec series can optionally be equipped with the Nordoser 900 EH 4G accelerator dosing system that incorporates an additional multiple data storing system and a USB data transfer showing cumulative data of concrete and accelerator used at a given time.
