Normet was rewarded as the Main Supplier of the Year 2010 at the International Subcontracting Trade Fair in September in Tampere, Finland.
The award was presented by the Finnish Association of Purchasing and Logistics (LOGY). Normet is the only company to which this award has been granted twice during the awards 20 years history. Normet got this award first time in 1988.
This time the judging committee took notice of Normet’s active role in the long-span development of its supplier network in Finland. Furthermore Normet has used and is using both Finnish and foreign suppliers.
The Finnish Association of Purchasing and Logistics (LOGY): The purpose of the association is to develop procedures for purchasing of materials and services and to promote physical logistics (i.e. transport, storage, handling) and the professional skills of employees in logistics for the benefit of the Finnish economy and society.
Normet produces solutions for demanding customer processes in underground mining and tunnelling. Normet develops, manufactures and markets equipment and vehicles for mining and underground construction and offers services for the maintenance and usage processes for the entire lifetime of the products.
