Normet Chile Ltd is, after acquiring the Chile-based Semmco Group, South America’s only manufacturer of sprayed concrete vehicles for underground construction and mining. It produces specialized spraying robots and low profile transmixers for the application of wet mix sprayed concrete.

Semmco has been a pioneer in developing robotized wet sprayed concrete in Latin America and boasts a wealth of process and application expertise, especially in manufacturing concrete pumps and machinery. The strength of Normet Chile comes from Semmco’s long experience as an operator of the type of machinery it produces. Normet Chile builds tough and reliable equipment with a strong customer focus, always thinking from the viewpoint of the operators and maintenance technicians.

We now offer a complete range of equipment developed by Semmco like the BS 7622 concrete pump, specifically designed for pumping wet sprayed concrete for hand applications or as a stand-alone pump, and the Alpha line of machinery. This includes the Alpha 20, a robot Semmco designed especially for sprayed concrete work in underground mining and low profile tunnels. There are more than 50 units working in the mining industry in Chile and other countries, like Brazil, Mexico and Peru, with excellent results.

The Alpha 15 is designed to work in large cross section tunnels (up to 12 metres high) and civil works. Its advantage is that it can be mounted on different types of trucks, rail cars or other vehicles according to the needs of the customer.

In addition to the above mentioned vehicles, Semmco line also contains Tonado, a vehicle for concrete transport in mining and tunnelling applications.
